Discovery Camp!
YFC Discovery Camp '08
i have enjoyed myself with my friends during the Discovery Camp. actually, i was not supposed to come cause i did not sign up for the camp. But, thnks to my sis, Carel, she called Ate Trina to put my name in the list. i was really thankful for her kindness for inviting me to the camp. i'm really blessed for having her as my big sis.... :'). plus, i have nothing to do at home except doing my homework at home. BORING CHEY! and, of course, i brought all of my homeworks to the camp. i have to finished them before the school reopen. not only i have enjoyed my camp with my sis, i also enjoyed with my best frend and the rest of the YFCs, SFCs and CFCs.
i'm very delighted to be a member of YFCs as it thought a lot about God and also my myself. the things that i learnt are:
- all of us are special;
- we have to be with special people;
- God gave us a special people who are closed in our hearts, and that is our parents; and so on......
the leaders are sooo nice and wonderful to talk to. they shared their personal experiences and stories in their lives. as we listened to their stories, and i mean the stories that are touching stories, we teared with the emotion inside. as they were telling us the stories, this also thought us useful things that we always should do and shouldn't do with our families, friends and also ourselves. this is also like Life-Skills. the subject that also thought us about our emotions, actions and more.... and also, we have a group to share their opinions and feelings to their group members. for me, as i was talking, the anxiety inside just washed away and let it all out. at the same time, i gave them a useful thoughts that they can used.
during the camp, i really learnt a lot of things and i hope that there will be another one that is not expensive. hehe....
God made us this way. all of us are different from each other. that is why we are special! be proud of who you are and always believe in yourself.... God Bless!
